On the first available day to file for candidacy to run for the May 17, 2022 primary election, FOUR Harrison County Republican candidates joined together to support one another as they took this step.
The candidates, their supporters, and a photographer met on the courthouse steps and were invited into the courtroom to fill out their paperwork. Excitement was high as Republican voters arrived into the courtroom to sign to attest for the candidate in their district to run. Jason Marshall filled out the forms to seek election for County Judge Executive and was accompanied by his wife Ginni Marshall. Daryl “Bubby” Northcutt took his turn in the chair to have his voter’s signatures notarized as active Republican Party member Avi Bear enthusiastically endorsed the form. Jeremy Burden was well prepared to have his photo taken with the declaration completed and ready to go! H.D. Batson was present with his wife Cindi and their three children. It was exciting seeing the children watch their father lead their family into a new adventure. Republican party member Mike Aldridge was present to witness and sign as a party member. Each candidate is grateful for the people who support them showing up to sign their forms, the notary for making available time to meet with these candidates, the photographer to capture these memories, and the staff at the Harrison County Courthouse for being so welcoming.
