On October 29, only ten days before the 2022 general election, the Harrison County Republican Party hosted the first-ever “Final Countdown, Candidates Brunch!” The brunch was a resounding success, with a packed house of enthusiastic voters in attendance. The excitement was palpable as Representative William Lawrence invited local Republican candidates to share their vision for the future of Harrison County.
Candidates who will appear on your ballot (with an opponent) on November 8th are as follows:
- Jason Marshall for County Judge/Executive
- Samantha Wright for County Clerk
- Dean Hutchison for Sheriff
- Daryl “Bubby” Northcutt for Magistrate District 3
- Charles Garnett for Magistrate District 4
- Jeremy Burden for Magistrate District 5
- H.D. Batson for Magistrate District 6
- Dwayne Florence for Magistrate District 7
- Chris Philpot for Magistrate District 8
Event attendees enjoyed a hearty homemade breakfast served by Penny Campbell of Two Ole’ Crows Catering, and Avi Bear provided indulgent cinnamon rolls. Because of a generous donation and specific request of Chris and Jamie Mastin, each attendee was welcomed into this event without a charge for attendance! This was a huge blessing to everyone who attended, all of the candidates, and the party! Thank you for the support, Chris and Jamie!
